Sometimes figuring out how to connect effectively with your spouse can feel as complicated as rocket science, but it doesn't have to.  At Mosaic Counseling of Florida we employ the use of several research-based assessment tools to help you and your partner recognize areas of strength and identify opportunities for growth.  This data-based approach helps demystify the challenges you've been trying to push through on your own and aids your counselor in providing you with individualized tools and strategies to help you and your spouse understand one another and connect on a deeper level.

GOTTMAN RELATIONSHIP ASSESSMENT

Where the Prepare Enrich is an X-ray of your relationship, the Gottman assessment is an MRI! It provides a deep dive into the areas of friendship, admiration and fondness, negative or positive cycles in your relationship and conflict management. The assessment also evaluates a couple's ability to build shared meaning. This powerful, in-depth tool is recommended for most married couples entering therapy.

As a level 3 Gottman trained therapist, Scott uses the data from this assessment to employ research-based strategies that teach couples to repair painful past experiences and replace negative conflict patterns with positive interactions. The Gottman Interventions Scott uses are designed to increase closeness and intimacy, improve friendship, deepen emotional connection, and create changes that enhance shared goals.  The research shows that emotionally intelligent couples are intimately familiar with each other’s worlds so one of the foundational aspects of a robust relationship is building a richly detailed Love Map.

LOVEWELL ASSESSMENT

The Lovewell Assessment provides a personalized road-map for your relationship that offers insights into your personality, what motivates you, and how to get the love you want.  This assessment highlights the differences between you and your partner's personalities. As a national trainer for Stronger Families, the organization that developed the Oxygen Profile, Scott uses this data to reveal each partner's motivations and determine the best methods to communicate with one another based on your individual personality profiles.

Check the Upcoming Events section for dates and times of trainings.  Trainings are also available upon request for church leadership teams and counseling practices.   To request a training in your city, e-mail MosaicCounselingFL@gmail.com
